Job Description

We are delighted to support our client, Wavebird, in their search for a CEO.

Wavebird, the Bahamas-based fractional jet company provides Luxury private aviation services from the islands and services a uniquely niche and personalised Client demographic.

Established in 2022, the company has three aircraft but has huge ambitions to grow this fleet, team, facilities and in-house capabilities including maintenance, sales and operations.

AeroProfessional has been exclusively retained to recruit a CEO who will oversee all aspects of Wavebird’s business and become a partner in creating a world class private aviation company.

The ideal CEO will come from a similar background of fractional aircraft ownership and be extremely comfortable in networking with and selling high-value front end cost products e.g. jet cards to UHNW individuals. Over time, this CEO will become embedded in the local community, becoming the most recognized face in aviation, all while building out the team and delivering on a luxury service.

Role Requirements: 

MUST
  • Willing to relocate to Nassau
  • Deep understanding of the private aviation market, with a focus on fractional ownership models, sales trends, popular aircraft and regulatory considerations
  • 5 years minimum experience
  • Familiarity with the competitive landscape and the ability to position Wavebird effectively
  • Selling of high value either in the form of fractional/jet cards/leasing/Joint ownership
  • Amazing networking skills, with the ability to quickly develop a reputation within our local community as a leader in aviation. This includes networking with large clubs, communities and partners
  • Lead the team by example as the best closer for high value customers
  • A proven track record of sales with the ability to create sales processes, teams and pricing models
  • Strong leadership skills to inspire and lead a diverse team towards achieving the company’s goals
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively articulating the company’s vision internally and externally
  • A customer-centric approach to business, with experience in managing high-value client relationships and understanding customer needs in the private aviation sector
  • Ensure their high standards and luxury experience is being achieved at all levels
SHOULD
  • Proven experience with fractional / co-ownership sales, with a strong track record of driving growth and profitability.
  • History of successful collaborations with aircraft manufacturers, service providers, and other stakeholders.
  • Visionary thinking to guide the company’s strategy in an evolving industry landscape.
  • Proven ability to handle crises, including operational disruptions, safety incidents, and public relations challenges, with poise and effectiveness.
  • Solid understanding of financial management principles relevant to the aviation industry
  • Capability to oversee financial planning, budgeting, and fiscal management to ensure  the company’s growth and financial health
  • A track record of jet acquisitions and purchase negotiations including financing
  • Identify opportunities to serve our client base through new offerings and member benefits
