    FULL TIME WORK
    ONSITE +/- 250 km from South Germany, e.g Regensburg to Passau area
    Remote work
    + onsite (visit to the ships ) when needed
    
    We are searching for a IT system Engineer/Administrator, to be responsible for a fleet of Cruise ships on the Danube river in South East Germany
    
    Your main task will be the day- to- day maintenance of all IT systems, storage, network, and related infrastructure aboard the vessel and the implementation of new hard and software.
    
    We need an outgoing person, who can also represent the Client in a good manner, while on board, meeting with both guests and crew
    
    English a must, and German is offcourse a big plus
    
    Minimum of four years practical hands-on experience in a similar role (e.g. System Administrator, IT Service, etc)
    
    YOU
    
    • · You have good experience with Windows 2019-2022 installation and administration
    • · You have domain of Active Directory features (DHCP, DNS) and with Failover clusters
    • · Ability to troubleshoot and repair PC and printer hardware
    • · Good understanding of LAN and WLAN networking
    • · Hands on experience installing hardware and software
    • · Experience with VMWare VSphere, Hyper-V, XenDesktop and Proxmox
    • · You have good PowerShell knowledge
    • · Good knowledge in PowerEdge Dell servers series
    • · Excellent time management
    • · Excellent attitude and interpersonal skills
    • · Follow directives of onboard management to adhere to all behavioural, safety and other rules for crew members and keep onboard management informed of any IT issues and policies that affect shipboard operations in their areas of responsibility
    • · You are comfortable dealing with senior stakeholders and working autonomously
    • · You have a can-do mindset and are excited about driving change in a fast-paced environment

    WHY
    The IT onboard operations Team guarantees a seamless operation of the fleet of River Ships cruising
    in Europe . The Team manages the entire IT Infrastructure including but not limited to VSAT, TVRO,
    Network and WiFi Infrastructure, iTV System, Server and Clients
    
    As a Corporate System Manager, you will be responsible for a fleet of ships . Your main task will be
    the monitoring, and maintenance of all IT systems, storage, network, and related infrastructure
    aboard the vessel and the implementation of new hard and software.
    
    YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
    Perform daily operations as detailed in Run Books and other technical documents to be provided
    during training
    Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server
    resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying
    completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
    Verify that any back-up procedures are carried out and have been verified as successful in line with
    employee IT policies
    Maintain operational, configuration, or other policies and procedures as instructed
    Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning
    Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required
    Maintain data centre environmental and monitoring equipment
    Maintain appropriate hardware inventory levels, ensure that all IT equipment is in good working
    condition, including PCs, printers, point of sale systems, servers and related hardware
    Provide basic user training and support in use of common PC software and specialized property
    management software as needed
    Monitor and support the satellite communication systems to ensure that the system is operating to
    optimum performance
    Align with the teams and IT vendors for our newbuild ships in construction yards and oversee the
    new build deployment progress
