Job Description

The Stock Controller role provides vital support to the purchasing team in maintaining accurate and efficient inventory management. This position is responsible for conducting daily post-pick analysis reports and performing physical stock and location checks.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Plan and initiate full warehouse inventory checks through physical checks, cycle counting, and location checks.
  • Action all post-pick stock reports daily.
  • Discuss and implement improvements to stock systems.
  • Communicate any stock issues with relevant departments (purchasing, sales, and warehouse).
  • Keep stock control systems up to date and ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Perform stock counting, rotation, and accuracy checks.
  • Inform your line manager about short-dated and sellable damaged products for prompt upselling.
  • Forward all foodservice stock complaints to purchasing as per company procedure.
  • Maintain key communication with other departments.
  • Uphold standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security in the work environment.

Requirements:

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and MS Office.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to implement process improvements.

Job Type:
 Full-time, Permanent

 

Pay: £11.44 - £12.50 per hour

Expected Hours: 40 per week
