Our client is currently seeking a Shift Supervisor for their Depot in Mid Devon. This role is pivotal in overseeing the efficient operation of transport and warehouse activities.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise day-to-day transport and warehouse operations effectively.
• Collaborate closely with Transport, Customer Services, and Warehouse Administration teams to ensure seamless operational flow.
• Coordinate holiday and sickness cover planning, operational communications, health and safety compliance, and equipment maintenance.
• Assist in developing team brief topics and documentation.
• Manage equipment maintenance and service schedules for operational efficiency.
• Monitor and audit health and safety standards and compliance.
• Investigate internal and external queries thoroughly.
• Contribute to the production of KPIs and daily statistics.
• Maintain control over issuing drivers' departures in alignment with business strategy, enforcing best practices and company processes through coaching and development.
• Ensure accurate recording of driver data, paying meticulous attention to detail and timeliness.

Essential Skills:

• Preferably, experience in a similar supervisory role with a solid understanding of traffic management systems.
• Exceptional communication skills across all levels.
• Strong geographical knowledge of the local area.
• Outstanding organisational skills with an ability to prioritize workload effectively.
