Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our client’s team, in this role, you will perform general mechanical maintenance on factory equipment including conveyors, fans, bearings, chains, sprockets, and similar machinery. You will conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability, diagnose mechanical issues, develop solutions, and execute repairs. Collaboration with the maintenance team is essential to enhance operational efficiency and minimize downtime. Additionally, you will adhere to all health and safety regulations while performing maintenance tasks and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of spare parts.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer or Fitter, preferably within heavy industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance practices and procedures.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults on a variety of equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
