Job Description

Join our clients dynamic Compliance Team in Devon and take on a pivotal role in ensuring regulatory compliance within their organisation. Reporting directly to the Compliance Director, you'll play a crucial part in upholding legal and technical standards while collaborating with various departments across the company. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to engage with internal and external stakeholders, including retailers, and requires a proactive, adaptable approach to managing diverse responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary contact for technical audits, including BRC GS Food Standard and retailer-specific audits, managing audit bookings, overseeing on-site audit processes, addressing corrective actions, and ensuring resolution of non-conformances.
  • Provide training on compliance and audit matters to staff members.
  • Implement the Food Safety Culture Plan, including the Pulse Cultivate system.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with BRC GS and customer requirements, as well as hygiene and housekeeping standards.
  • Audit external suppliers and service providers to uphold technical and ethical standards.
  • Manage document control for all relevant documentation, ensuring timely updates.
  • Oversee the Pest Control contract, arranging visits as necessary and ensuring follow- up on actions.


Experience/Skills:

  • Proficient in BRC GS Food Audits and other retailer audits.
  • Experienced in HACCP systems.
  • Skilled in conducting both internal and external audits.
  • Customer service-oriented, adept at handling challenging situations.
  • Ability to cultivate strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels.
  • Capacity for independent decision-making in alignment with business needs.
  • Innovative mindset geared towards process improvement.
  • Familiarity with SAP systems.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and collaborative team player.


Qualifications:

  • Valid driving license.
  • Degree qualification preferred.
  • A Level education or equivalent (Minimum NVQ Level 2).
  • Desirable qualifications in HACCP.
