Senior HSEQ Consultant
Location: Galway
Full Time / Permanent Role / Hybrid Options available
€80,000 (DOE)

Optimize Recruitment is delighted to partner with our client, a well-established professional consultancy providing specialist environmental, planning, Health & Safety and technical services across a diverse range of projects throughout Ireland.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• A recognised third-level qualification in Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a Health & Safety role.
• Proven experience delivering Health & Safety consultancy and advisory services, including acting as Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP).
• Strong experience in Health & Safety audits, inspections, accident and incident investigations, and reviewing contractor Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
• Excellent communication, client management and leadership skills, with the ability to support team development and contribute to the growth of Health & Safety services.
• Experience in renewable energy projects and/or business development would be advantageous, alongside additional qualifications such as PSDP training, IOSH Managing Safely, QQI Level 6 Manual Handling Instructor or SOLAS Safe Pass Trainer.

Responsibilities & Duties Include

• Lead the delivery of construction Health & Safety consultancy services across a diverse portfolio of projects.
• Undertake the role of PSDP on construction and renewable energy projects.
• Provide Occupational Health & Safety consultancy and advisory services to clients.
• Conduct Health & Safety audits, inspections, compliance reviews and accident or incident investigations.
• Review contractor Risk Assessments, Method Statements and associated Health & Safety documentation.
• Support clients in developing and improving Health & Safety management systems and practices.
• Develop and support Health & Safety training plans and initiatives.
• Promote a strong Health & Safety culture across client organisations and project teams.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
• Provide leadership, guidance and mentoring to members of the Health & Safety team.
• Support the continued growth and development of the Galway-based Health & Safety function.
• Contribute to business development and the expansion of Health & Safety consultancy services.
