Quality Control Laboratory Technician
Location: Co. Kilkenny
Position: Full-Time | Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 5:00pm

Optimize Recruitment is partnering with a leading company within the manufacturing industry to recruit a Quality Control Laboratory Technician. This role offers an opportunity to join a professional laboratory team supporting quality control, testing, and compliance within a modern manufacturing environment.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

• A Level 7 or Level 8 degree in General Science, Agricultural Science, Food Science, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related discipline.
• A completed degree qualification (not a placement role).
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
• Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong IT skills and experience using laboratory systems/LIMS is advantageous.
• Knowledge of GLP, quality standards, and laboratory safety procedures.
• A proactive approach with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities and Duties Include:

• Receiving, recording, and managing laboratory samples.
• Preparing samples for analysis in line with procedures.
• Carrying out quality control testing and accurately recording results.
• Maintaining laboratory documentation and records.
• Supporting audits, inspections, and quality assurance activities.
• Ensuring laboratory equipment, stock, and work areas are maintained.
• Following health and safety procedures and laboratory standards.
• Collaborating with internal teams to support testing requirements.
• Assisting with continuous improvement initiatives and general laboratory operations.
