EHS Manager
Location: County Laois
Salary - Up to €60,000 (DoE)
Full / Time Permanent

We are proud to partner with our client, a leading organisation within the manufacturing & production sector, to recruit an experienced EHS Manager. 

The Successful Candidate Will Have

• 3+ years’ EHS experience in manufacturing, heavy industry or similar environment
• Relevant qualification in EHS, Environmental Science, Engieering or related field
• Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation
• Experience managing environmental and regulatory compliance in an industrial setting
• Proven track record in risk assessment, incident investigation, and corrective actions
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
• Hands-on, practical approach with a focus on continuous improvement

 Responsibilities & Duties

• Develop, implement and maintain the site EHS management system
• Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety and environmental legislation and permits
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure effective control measures are in place
• Lead incident, accident and near-miss investigations, ensuring corrective actions are completed
• Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, training and ongoing safety engagement initiatives
• Oversee contractor safety management and permit-to-work systems
• Monitor workplace safety performance through audits, inspections and KPI reporting
• Maintain accurate EHS documentation, records and statutory reporting requirements
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and support external inspections and audits
• Support environmental monitoring activities including emissions, waste and water management
• Drive sustainability, waste reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
• Work closely with production and maintenance teams to improve safety and operational performance
• Promote safe systems of work and ensure compliance across all site activities
• Produce regular EHS reports and communicate key updates to senior management
