Overview
A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Principal Engineer to play a key role in the design and delivery of major transport projects across Ireland. This is a senior-level opportunity for an experienced design professional to lead multi-disciplinary teams and shape high-impact infrastructure schemes.

The Role 
You will be heavily involved in the planning, design, and technical delivery of transport infrastructure projects, including roads, rail, public transport, and active travel schemes.

Key aspects include:

• Leading feasibility, preliminary and detailed design of transport projects
• Applying design standards to develop practical, buildable solutions
• Managing and coordinating multi-disciplinary design teams
• Contributing to statutory processes (EIAR, CPO, etc.) and contract documentation
• Supporting projects through procurement, design delivery, and construction stages

Requirements

• Degree-qualified Engineer (Level 8/9)
• Chartered Engineer status
• Strong background in transportation design within a consultancy environment
• Proven experience delivering road or infrastructure design projects in Ireland
• Excellent knowledge of design standards and project delivery processes
• Experience leading teams and managing design outputs
