Project Manager – Wexford Region

(Civil Engineering & Utilities Projects)

Optimize Recruitment is partnering with an award‑winning civil engineering contractor to recruit a Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of works across the Wexford region.

Our client is a long‑established leader in the Irish civil engineering and utilities sector, delivering high‑quality, safe, and environmentally responsible solutions. Their work spans civil construction, utilities ducting, environmental services, and traffic management, supported by a highly skilled and dedicated workforce.

The successful candidate will manage projects across multiple locations within County Wexford, ensuring safe delivery, strong client engagement, and high‑quality execution. Experience working alongside ESB on civil or utilities projects is advantageous.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and manage civil and utilities projects across the Wexford region

• Oversee project planning, scheduling, resourcing, and delivery

• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards

• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams

• Manage project budgets, progress reporting, and documentation

• Supervise site teams and ensure efficient day‑to‑day operations

• Maintain strong working relationships with public bodies and utility providers

• Ensure all works are delivered to specification and within agreed timelines

Requirements

• Relevant Irish engineering or construction qualification

• Ideally experience working on ESB‑related projects

• Strong background in civil engineering, utilities, or infrastructure delivery

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills

• Proven ability to manage multiple project locations

• Strong understanding of Irish safety and regulatory standards

• Full clean driver’s licence
