Intermediate or Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Galway (Office-Based with Site Exposure)

About the Role
Optimize Recruitment, working closely with our client, are seeking an Intermediate or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established commercial team based in their Galway office. The role will support live projects including a commercial and retail development in Limerick, a large upcoming hotel project in Galway City, and further pharmaceutical works planned.

You will join a strong commercial department of 8+ professionals, operating across a mix of office-based, site-based, and hybrid working arrangements, with clear long-term progression available.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial delivery across live construction projects
• Procure subcontractors and administer subcontract agreements
• Prepare valuations, cost reports, and cashflow forecasts
• Manage variations, change control, and commercial records
• Support or lead final account preparation and agreement
• Liaise closely with site teams, consultants, and clients
• Monitor commercial risk, cost performance, and reporting accuracy
• Contribute to commercial strategy and project planning

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related construction discipline
• Experience operating at Intermediate or Senior QS level in Ireland/UK
• Strong commercial and contractual understanding
• Experience administering RIAI, GCC, or bespoke contracts
• Background on medium to large-scale construction projects
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Irish or UK experience required
