Job Title: Head of Major Gas Projects

Job Type: Permanent

Location: England, with travel to sites and offices

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Head of Major Gas Projects to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the delivery of major gas construction projects, ensuring they are completed within budget, on time, and to the highest standards of safety and quality.

The role requires a strong technical background in gas transmission, pipeline construction, ideally including exposure to fabrication and welding as well as experience in managing projects. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of the CDM 2015 regulations, managing sub contractors, HSE and will be able to ensure that all projects are compliant and delivered to excellent quality.

Key Responsibilities:

- Managing the delivery of major gas projects from inception to completion
- Ensuring all projects are delivered within budget, on time and to the highest standards of safety and quality
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors and suppliers
- Providing technical expertise to support the delivery of major gas projects
- Ensuring compliance with CDM 2015 regulations
- Managing and mentoring a team of project and construction managers

Skills and Experience:

- Degree in Engineering or related field
- Extensive experience in gas distribution and transmission design and build
- Strong project management skills, with experience of managing large-scale projects
- Thorough understanding of CDM 2015 regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and management skills
