Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Patent Paralegal to work for our Manchester based client, a leading IP law firm.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring all incoming correspondence and accurately updating records including docketing deadlines on the internal database.
- Performing quality checks in relation to trainee IP Administrators work, especially for new filings
- Monitoring team tasks on a daily basis via the internal database.
- Ensuring best practice is observed within the team by leading workflow meetings both virtually and face to face.
- Dealing with various formalities including IDS’s, PoAs and assignments.
- Supporting the IP Administrator and helping with workload during busy periods.
- Preparing and checking complex reports including client reports.
Skills & Knowledge required:
- CIPA qualified - highly advantageous
- In depth IP portfolio and procedural experience
- Ability to build and maintain a constructive relationship with individuals at all levels, including delivering training where appropriate and leading the team to ensure all work is dealt with a timely manner
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
- Meticulous eye for detail, working consistently to high standards
