Job Description
The main purpose of this role is to provide support to the Records team of this prestigious IP law firm. This is a 13 month fixed-term contract to cover a period of maternity leave. The position will predominantly focus on Trade Mark and Design matters within the Records department. The firm offers practically remote working conditions with requirements to attend the office twice a month at most.
Duties within the position
- Docketing on official deadlines on IP case management system.
- Validating case data on IP case management system.
- Opening new client name records.
- Reporting official notices to clients regarding case status.
- Closing and updating cases on IP case management system.
- Onboarding client portfolios.
- Ongoing quality control and data integrity maintenance for record accuracy on IP case
- management system.
- General administrative support to the team and provide cover as necessary.
Requirements for this position.
- Previous experience in Intellectual Property law, trade marks and designs is preferred or patent administration
- Good communication skills and able to interact at all levels with internal and external contacts
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to balance and prioritise workload, remain composed and level-headed during periods of particularly busy activity, and be proactive in helping other members of the team.
- Good Microsoft package skills.
- Ideally an understanding of IP case management systems
