Job Description

Part-Qualified to Newly Qualified Patent Attorney (Chemistry)

An opportunity has arisen for a talented part-qualified or qualified Patent Attorney to join a leading European IP firm’s chemistry practice, supporting global clients in the pharmaceutical and chemical sectors.

You'll work on high-value, commercially focused work, including contentious matters, EPO oppositions and appeals, and SPCs. The role offers exposure to a diverse mix of technologies—ranging from organic synthesis and drug delivery to catalysts, batteries, polymers, and cleantech.

Requirements

  • Part-qualified or qualified UK/EQEs (up to ~2 years PQE)

  • Background in chemistry, ideally organic or pharmaceutical

  • Experience with EPO procedures and contentious work (a plus)

  • Strong communication, commercial awareness, and problem-solving skills
