Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an innovative legal aid firm based in London. There is an urgent need to hire a head of strategic litigation to act as a legal aid agency public law supervisor within the public law and homelessness team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing opportunities to further the availability of civil legal aid to clients. You will undertake a variety of tasks ranging from managing a caseload of strategic, complex and sometimes high-profile public law matters on behalf of individuals and organisations, providing high quality advice and representation for clients as well as ensuring compliance with relevant external quality standards and regulatory frameworks.

Further duties include developing and maintaining networks and referral sources for the firm, contributing to the leadership and further development of paralegals as well as conducting annual appraisals and regular check-ins for direct reports.

Applicants will have completed a law degree or equivalent, qualified lawyers are also welcome to apply. A passion for public law and litigation is essential coupled with drive, determination and positive work ethic.
