EXPERIENCED, HANDS-ON BOSUN REQUIRED FOR BUSY OWNER'S PROGRAM

Vessel: 45m Private Motor Yacht
Location: South of France
Contract: Seasonal/Permanent
Start Date: Immediate / First trip begins 6th July.
Salary: €4,500 per month
Leave: 48 days per year

We are seeking a confident, experienced, and hands-on Bosun to join a busy 45m private motor yacht with an active owner-use program and a busy Mediterranean season ahead.

The vessel is privately owned and shared between two owners, operating a dynamic summer itinerary throughout the Mediterranean. The program combines family cruising, social occasions and a lot of water sports, making this an ideal role for a Bosun who enjoys balancing excellent seamanship with guest interaction and creating memorable experiences on the water.

The owners join on 6th July, making this an immediate start opportunity. Preference will be given to candidates currently based in the South of France.

Working alongside an excellent, hands-on Chief Officer and supported by one Deckhand, this is a fantastic opportunity for a Bosun who enjoys leading by example and thrives as part of a close-knit, energetic deck team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily deck operations, maintenance and safety procedures alongside the Chief Officer and Captain.

• Lead and mentor the Deckhand while maintaining the exterior to the highest standards.

• Confidently operate the vessel's 6m Williams jet drive tender and support all guest transfer operations.

• Organise and supervise watersports activities, particularly for children and family guests.

• Manage and maintain the vessel's toy inventory, including Jet Skis, Seabobs, inflatables and towables.

• Deliver polished, professional service during guest trips and social occasions.

• Promote a positive atmosphere while maintaining exceptional standards of seamanship and safety.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Lead Deckhand or Bosun on 40m+ motor yachts.

• Must hold a valid RYA Jet Ski Instructor qualification.

• Excellent tender driving skills and confidence operating a 6m Williams jet drive tender.

• Experience running watersports activities and managing guest toys.

• Comfortable engaging with owners, guests and children in a professional and enthusiastic manner.

• Strong leadership qualities with a hands-on approach.

• Excellent seamanship, maintenance and organisational skills.

• Adaptable, solution-focused and a strong team player.

• Polished presentation and professional attitude.

• Fluent English with excellent references.

• Candidates currently based in the South of France are preferred.

Summer itinerary includes the French Riviera, Corsica, Sardinia, the Aeolian Islands and the Amalfi Coast, offering a varied and exciting cruising program through to September.
