MALE OR FEMALE DECK/STEW FOR WONDERFUL FAMILY AND PRIVATE YACHT

Vessel: 25m Private Motor Yacht
Location: Marbella / Ibiza / St Tropez
Start Date: by 17th July
Salary: €4,500 - €5,500 per month + 13th month bonus and discretionary loyalty bonus

Please note this Captain requires candidates with a minimum of one season's experience. 

We are in search of a versatile and all-encompassing Deck/Stew to join a delightful 25m privately owned family yacht. The vessel is under the care of experienced British owners and is captained by a fantastic British Captain who has been known to us for over 12 years.

This is a laid-back program with a relaxed family-style atmosphere. The owners, including their three active children, appreciate a warm and happy environment onboard. The principal tends to work from the vessel and values privacy, occasionally enjoying coffee and snacks throughout the day. From time to time and due to his work schedule, the owner will have high profile guests onboard for meetings. When his wife is onboard, a relaxed entertaining atmosphere is preferred.

While cooking is not an essential part of the job, a willingness to help in the galley would be highly beneficial!

You will join the yacht in Spain, ready for the owner's trips - trips to Ibiza and St Tropez have been scheduled, followed by day trips out of their home berth in Marbella until September. The owners are considering purchasing a larger vessel at the end of the next year, providing a potential for long-term commitment but the role is also open to candidates considering just a seasonal role.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain the interior to a high standard - laundry is generally done by the house staff (guest towels, linens etc.)
• Collaborate with the Captain on meal preparation, which typically involves simple BBQs, salads, family buffet-style meals, and occasional snacks.
• Assist with day-to-day water sports and entertainment for the active children during anchor periods.
• Relaxed family-style service for the adults onboard.
• Contribute to maintaining a warm and happy onboard environment.

Requirements:

• Open to candidates with a minimum of one season experience.
• Preference for candidates with a nautical background or sailing experience.
• Basic knowledge of line handling and knots.
• Knowledge and experience in preparing simple meals.
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage the interior without instruction is essential for this role.
• STCW certification and valid ENG1 medical certificate.
• Excellent checkable references.
