Vessel: 43m Private Motor Yacht
Location: Mediterranean
Rotation: 10:10
Contract: Permanent
Start Date: 28th March 2026
Salary: €13,500 per month (DOE, paid full year)
We are seeking an experienced, calm, and highly professional Rotational Captain to join a 43m motor yacht operating to strict 60m+ standards, Cayman Islands flag. This is a true leadership role suited to a Captain who values structure, consistency, and teamwork, and who can seamlessly rotate with their counterpart to deliver a polished, uninterrupted program year-round.
Rotation is currently proposed at 10:10, TBC with both Captains after the initial trial period - rotation for the trial period proposed is 4:4 weeks.
The yacht runs a high-calibre, drama-free operation with a strong, capable crew—many with 60–90m backgrounds. Expectations are high and demanding, but the onboard culture is respectful, organised, and fitness-focused. This is not a party boat; it is a professional environment delivering quiet excellence.
The vessel is commercially compliant but has been private-use only this season, with potential charter activity in the future. Owners are formal, discreet, and expect a calm command presence, excellent standards, and smooth, well-managed operations.
The yacht is currently in the shipyard, so ongoing technical awareness, project follow-through, and close coordination with senior crew are essential. Consistency between rotational Captains is critical — shared systems, clear communication, and aligned leadership style are key to success in this role.
Overall command of the vessel, crew, and operations in accordance with flag and maritime regulations

Lead, manage, and mentor the crew, fostering a calm, professional, and accountable onboard culture

Manage shipyard periods, refits, and maintenance planning in collaboration with senior crew
Act as primary point of contact for owners and guests, delivering discreet, polished service
Oversee charter readiness and charter operations if/when applicable
Manage budgets, operational costs, and reporting as required
Ensure the vessel is maintained to inspection-ready condition at all times
Minimum 5+ years experience as Captain on 35–50m+ motor yachts
Previous experience on high-end private and/or charter yachts
Proven rotational experience strongly preferred
Strong shipyard and refit management experience
Excellent leadership, communication, and crew-management skills
