Vessel: 43m Private Motor Yacht
Location: Mediterranean (currently in shipyard)
Contract: Temporary until end of March 2026
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: €6,000–€7,000 per month
Leave: 60 days
We are seeking a capable, proactive 2nd Engineer to support the Chief Engineer in running a highly organised, technically strong engineering program on a 43m motor yacht operating to 60m+ standards.
The vessel is currently in a shipyard period, so solid yard experience, contractor supervision, and strong fault-finding ability are essential. This role suits a hands-on engineer who can step in immediately, take ownership of daily engineering tasks, and contribute to a clean, structured, and preventative maintenance-driven operation.
The program is professional, fast-paced, and detail-focused, with a calm, fitness-oriented, drama-free onboard culture. Crew are experienced, many from 60–90m backgrounds, and expectations are high. This is not a party boat — it is a polished, efficient program delivering big-yacht standards on a compact platform.
Although commercially compliant, the yacht has been private-use only this season, with potential charter activity in the future. Owners are discreet, formal, and expect systems to run quietly and flawlessly.
The 2nd Engineer reports to the Chief Engineer and plays a key role in daily machinery operation, maintenance execution, safety compliance, and yard support.
