Job Description

We are recruiting a Chief Stewardess to join a newly purchased, professionally run 40m+ private yacht that is launching a fresh program this season. The owner has recently restructured the operation and is establishing a completely updated team culture built on professionalism, efficiency, and high standards.

This is a hands-on role for someone confident leading a small interior team on a yacht with a dynamic schedule and regular guest activity. The program is fast-paced with short-notice trips, quick turnarounds, and formal service expectations. The successful candidate will be someone who thrives in an organised, structured environment and sets a calm, capable tone for the interior.

The vessel will run privately (no charters planned this season) and is operated to big-boat standards by a team with strong 50m+ backgrounds. This new chapter offers the chance to take ownership of the interior from day one and help set the standard for the refreshed crew.

Responsibilities

• Lead a two-stew interior team with structure and confidence

• Oversee formal service, housekeeping, and laundry operations

• Implement interior systems, standards, and routines for the new program

• Manage turnarounds and guest preparation under tight timelines

• Build a positive, professional, organised crew culture

• Liaise closely with deck, engineering, and shoreside support

Requirements

• 2–3+ years as Chief Stew on 40m+

• Strong formal service and interior management background

• Proven ability to train and mentor junior stews

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• Can step straight into a fast-moving environment with minimal onboarding

• Fluent English

• STCW + ENG1, additional service qualifications would be highly advantageous

• Happy to complete a background check
