Salary: $12,000–$14,000 USD DOE
Leave: 60 days per year (with additional flexibility)
Package: Annual flight allowance up to $1,500 + full health insurance
We are seeking a refined, talented, and composed Head Chef to join an exceptional 60m private motor yacht owned by an established American family with significant yachting experience and a private island. This is a high-level private program that values professionalism, discretion, and consistency above all else.
You’ll be joining a world-class crew operating under experienced management, with supportive ownership who appreciate calm, capable professionals. The galley is well-equipped and organised, with strong systems already in place. The program is private only, with no more than 5–6 guests onboard at a time, typically for short trips ranging from 7–12 days across the Caribbean, Bahamas, and U.S. East Coast.
This is an opportunity for a Chef who enjoys producing elegant, beautifully plated food with a focus on fresh, clean, modern European and American-style cuisine — uncomplicated, balanced, and flavour-forward. The owners appreciate quality ingredients, thoughtful presentation, and a Chef who can deliver excellence without unnecessary fuss. Canapés, light lunches, plated dinners, and well-crafted guest experiences are key.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in private programs, confident running a one-person galley, and capable of maintaining composure and organisation under pressure. You’ll also be responsible for provisioning, galley management, and crew meals for a small, professional team.
Plan and prepare all guest and crew meals with precision, presentation, and consistency.
Deliver elegant, plated meals with an emphasis on fresh, high-quality ingredients and seasonal menus.
Prepare creative canapés, snacks, and healthy options for guests.
Maintain galley cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene to the highest standards.
Oversee provisioning, budgeting, and supplier management.
Ensure effective communication with the Chief Stewardess for seamless meal service.
Cater to dietary requirements and personal preferences of the owners and guests.
Contribute to a positive, respectful, and professional crew culture.
Proven experience as Head Chef on 50m+ yachts (private or private/charter).
Confident working solo in a refined, structured galley environment.
Culinary certification / Ship’s Cook Certificate highly preferred.
Strong plating and presentation skills with a “quality over complexity” approach.
Excellent knowledge of provisioning, storage, and galley management.
Calm, adaptable, and organised under pressure.
Valid STCW, ENG1, and Food Safety Level 2.
B1/B2 visa or U.S. passport / Green Card required.
Must pass full background check and drug testing.
Male only due to cabin arrangements.
Excellent references and polished, professional demeanor essential.
