URGENT COOK/STEW REQUIRED FOR 30M PRIVATE EXPLORER – ASAP START

Vessel: 30m Private Motor Yacht
Location: Meganisi Island, Greece (nearest airport: Preveza)
Contract: Temporary – ASAP until End of October
Start Date: Immediate
Salary: Up to €5,000/month DOE (higher day rate considered due to short contract)

We are urgently seeking an experienced and capable Cook/Stew to join a 30m private motor yacht immediately and see the vessel through the remainder of the season. This is a short-term contract running until the end of October, offering a great opportunity for someone who can step in and hit the ground running with minimal handover.

The yacht is currently cruising the Ionian Islands and will make its return delivery to Marbella towards the end of the season. Guest operations are very light — with no more than two guests onboard at any time — followed by a period focused solely on crew meals during the crossing. Two guests will be onboard until 2nd October, and then another two guests will come onboard from 6th - 12th October.

The previous chef has left early after accepting a permanent role, so the successful candidate will need to step in quickly, keep the program running smoothly, and provide healthy, fresh meals for both guests and crew.

The ideal candidate will be confident, organised, and have a strong background in preparing simple, high-quality Western-style cuisine, along with strong service and housekeeping standards. You’ll be working closely with a small, professional crew and must be comfortable operating independently in the galley.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare healthy, Western-style meals for up to 2 guests and crew.

  • Oversee provisioning and galley organisation, including stock management and budgeting.

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and efficiency in the galley.

  • Assist with interior duties as required, including light housekeeping and guest service.

  • Support the team during the yacht’s delivery passage back to Marbella.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Cook/Stew or Chef on yachts of similar size.

  • Strong background in Western cuisine with a focus on fresh, healthy meals.

  • Capable of running a galley independently and managing provisioning.

  • Professional, positive, and adaptable — ready to step into a busy program with little notice.

  • Valid STCW and ENG1.

  • Female candidates preferred due to cabin arrangements.

  • EU passport or right to work in the EU preferred.

  • Excellent references essential.
