EXPERIENCED ROTATIONAL CAPTAIN REQUIRED FOR BUSY 50M PRIVATE/CHARTER PROGRAM

Vessel: 50m Motor Yacht | New Build
Location: Mediterranean | Dual-Season Program
Contract: Permanent | 10:10 Rotation
Salary: $15,000 per month
Start Date: Mid October in Italy.

We are seeking a confident and experienced Rotational Captain to join a fast-paced, dual-season private/charter yacht within a growing and dynamic program. This is a high-energy, hands-on role best suited to a seasoned professional with a proven track record running busy charter seasons, delivering exceptional guest service, and building strong, motivated crews.

The ideal candidate will bring strategic thinking, flexibility, and a calm command presence – with a plan for every possibility and the confidence to stay one step ahead.

This is a very active, guest-focused program with back-to-back private use and charters, supported by a professional management team and a high-calibre crew — several of whom will transfer from the owners’ previous yacht. The program will run at a fast pace, so we are looking for a Captain with stamina and exceptional organisational skills.

This vessel is owned by an engaged, young-at-heart client with ambitious cruising plans and high operational standards, looking for a Captain who can match their drive and energy, while keeping operations running to the highest standard.

Expect a very busy calendar, heavy use between charters, and the resources to keep everything running at the highest level. Rotational packages are being introduced for all HODs to ensure longevity and maintain a strong team culture.

Requirements:

• Master 500GT or higher 

• Strong Med/Caribbean experience and charter background essential

• Confident managing charter operations and guest expectations in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to handle last-minute changes and anticipate every whim

• Clear communicator with a structured, professional approach, and the ability to balance safety and professionalism with a fun, approachable energy for an owner who is young at heart

• Experience managing and leading a professional, high-performance crew and maintaining morale

• Fluent English essential

• Excellent checkable references
