EXPERIENCED DECKHAND REQUIRED WITH EXCELLENT TENDER HANDLING FOR PRIVATE FLEET

Vessel: 30m+ Private Motor Yacht
Location: Mediterranean 
Contract: Permanent and/or Seasonal, to start ASAP.
Salary: €4,000 per month, 45 days leave and Training Package included

We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Deckhand to join a prestigious dual season 30m+ private motor yacht currently in the Mediterranean. The yacht operates within an active and dynamic private fleet, offering the opportunity to be part of a fun and experienced crew. The crew comprises a mix of nationalities, with a focus on teamwork and professionalism as well as cross fleet collaboration. 

You will be joining a hands on, fun and fast paced crew. This is a growing fleet, and a supportive program that rewards those keen to learn and progress through the fleet with training provided. The owner is very active and engages in water sports, with a dual season cruising itinerary.

There will likely be times where you will be required to travel and assist with the operations of other vessels within the fleet in other locations across the globe - in particular the US and Caribbean. 


Responsibilities:

• Act as the Captain's right hand for all navigational operations and watch keeping, shipyard and maintenance programs.
• Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the exterior of the yacht, including decks, hull, and equipment alongside the rest of the crew.
• Conduct regular safety and security checks, including fire and safety equipment inspections.
• Stand watch and maintain a vigilant presence on deck during navigational operations.
• Be hands on in the operation and maintenance of all onboard toys, machinery and systems.
• Maintain inventory and stock levels of spare parts, tools, and equipment.
• Assist with tender operations, including driving and maintenance.
• Contribute to the overall safety, efficiency, and smooth operation of the yacht and wider fleet.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role on yachts of similar size with high operational standards.
• Strong deck and engineering skills, with a willingness to learn and develop. This is a supportive program that rewards those keen to learn and progress through the fleet.
• Yachtmaster qualification in hand and flawless operational tender handling - this is non-negotiable.
• Knowledge of yacht systems and a strong understanding of deck operations and products.
• Proficiency in deck and engine room maintenance and repair tasks.
• Valid STCW certification, including PDSD and ENG1 Medical Certificate.
• Basic engineering qualifications or experience preferred, willingness to learn essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well within a team and independently.
• B1B2 Visa would be advantageous but the vessel will support the application of this during times where you will be required to travel.
• Excellent checkable references.
