Vessel: 50m Private Motor Yacht
Location: Imperia, Italy (Med-based)
Contract: Seasonal (until end of September), with potential to become permanent
Start Date: ASAP – no later than July 2nd/3rd
Salary: €6,000+ DOE | 38 days annual leave
We are seeking a confident and experienced Chief Stewardess to join the crew of a beautifully maintained 50m private motor yacht, operating for a well-established and respectful Middle Eastern royal family. Based in the Med, the vessel runs a concentrated but busy family program from early July through to August 20th, with around 6–7 weeks of intense service and very high expectations – followed by a quieter end to the season.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a switched-on, detail-driven Chief Stew who can lead a team calmly and efficiently, and confidently deliver high-level service without needing to be micromanaged.
You'll be leading an interior team of 4 (2nd Stew, 3rd Stew, and Deck/Stew) and will be responsible for setting and maintaining standards across service, housekeeping, and guest experience. In addition, you will also receive help from the two travelling nannies who oversee the children's cabins and laundry.
The role demands strong organisational skills, an eye for luxury, and the ability to guide and support the team while remaining hands-on. Guests expect anticipation, discretion, and excellence in all areas – so this is not one for the faint-hearted, but for someone who genuinely takes pride in their role and thrives in a family-style, high-standard setting.
The outgoing Chief Stew was let go early in the season due to challenges maintaining standards and effectively managing the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the interior team with structure, clear standards, and calm authority
Oversee housekeeping, laundry, and service standards across all guest areas
Maintain seamless family-style silver service for high-profile guests
Anticipate guest needs and ensure 5-star presentation at all times
Manage provisioning and inventories, including guest supplies and tableware
Train and support junior stews, checking and guiding where necessary
Requirements:
Minimum 2–3 years of experience as Chief or strong 2nd stepping up on 50m+ yachts
Confident managing a team in a high-pressure, service-focused program
Previous experience with VVIP or royal family guests preferred
Strong silver service skills and an eye for detail
Excellent interpersonal skills – calm, capable and discreet
Fluent English (native speaker preferred, but not mandatory)
Valid STCW, ENG1 and Food & Hygiene Level 2
Excellent checkable references – must be verifiable and recent
Preference given to candidates with English as a first language
