TEMPORARY FEMALE MATE REQUIRED FOR BUSY 40M DUAL-SEASON CHARTER YACHT

Contract: Temporary (August 24 – End of September 2025) – Potential to become permanent
Start Date: August 24, 2025
Salary: $8,000 per month, + tips and bonus package
Leave: 60 days annually (pro rata for temporary contract)
We are seeking a confident and capable Female Mate (DTC) to join a dynamic and well-established charter program onboard a busy 40m motor yacht. This is a temporary position to cover leave with a strong possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.
The yacht is heading into the final stretch of a packed Med season, with multiple charters lined up and an exceptional charter reputation already in place. You'll be stepping into a tight-knit and high-functioning crew environment where experience, positivity, and presence on deck are essential.
The ideal candidate will have excellent working knowledge of the Mediterranean cruising grounds, be confident handling busy guest operations, and bring solid deck leadership and organisational skills to support the Bosun, Engineer and Captain, particularly with bridge and watch duties.
You’ll be joining a professional team with a strong crew culture, an involved and supportive American owner, and a solid management company. You will share a cabin with the Female Engineer, and the deck team operates in close coordination with all departments.
Supporting the Captain with overall vessel operations, bridge management, and safety compliance
Stand navigational watches and ensure safe and efficient passage planning in coordination with the bridge team
Support day-to-day deck leadership and operations, working closely with the Bosun and Captain
Lead by example and help manage deck crew across all exterior duties
Confident tender handling and guest transfer operations
Assist with anchoring, docking, and navigational watchkeeping
Oversee deck maintenance and product care with high attention to detail
Ensure safe and seamless guest activities during charters
Communicate effectively and coordinate with all departments onboard
Requirements:
OOW 3000 or nearing completion (USCG 200t may be considered)
At least 2–3 years' experience in similar roles on charter yachts
Excellent knowledge of Mediterranean cruising grounds is essential
Strong tender driving and deck maintenance skills
Charter experience preferred – must be guest-ready and calm under pressure
Strong leadership style with a hands-on, proactive attitude
Valid B1/B2 visa or ability to obtain one – vessel can assist with application if carrying on into Caribbean season
All standard certification up to date: STCW, ENG1, etc.
Fluent English and excellent, verifiable references
