Sales and Customer Service Advisor in Newcastle-under-Lyme

Salary: Up to £31,000 per year (depending on experience)

If you have a background in customer service, internal sales or sales administration, and you like building lasting relationships and spotting ways to grow sales, this full-time, office-based role could be a great next step.

The Role
As a Sales and Customer Service Advisor, you'll be the main point of contact for customers, looking after them from their first enquiry through to delivery and aftersales support. You'll work closely with regional sales teams, key accounts and internal account managers, so the role combines customer care with a real commercial focus. It suits someone who is organised, friendly and keen to help the business grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries by telephone and email, giving clear product information and advice.
• Prepare quotations and follow up leads to help secure new sales.
• Process customer orders and returns accurately and promptly.
• Deal with customer queries and complaints, aiming to resolve them to the customer's satisfaction.
• Spot opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional products.
• Keep customer records accurate and up to date on the CRM system.
• Support regional sales teams, key accounts and internal account managers with customer requirements.

Skills and Experience
To be successful in this Sales and Customer Service Advisor role, you'll ideally have:

• Experience in customer service, internal sales, sales administration or a similar customer-facing role.
• Excellent communication skills, with confidence speaking to customers by telephone and writing to them by email.
• A professional, customer-focused approach and the ability to build strong, long-term relationships.
• Good organisation and the ability to juggle a varied workload.
• Experience of using a CRM system (desirable).
• A positive attitude and a willingness to work as part of a team.

Salary and Benefits

• Salary of up to £31,000 per year, depending on experience.

• Some flexibility on start and finish times.

Working Hours and Location

• 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm, with some flexibility on start and finish times
• Fully office-based in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
