Salary: Up to £39,500 per annum (or up to £20.25 per hour), depending on experience

Are you an experienced Cutting and Creasing Operator looking for a skilled, hands-on role with a business that values your expertise? Appointments Personnel is recruiting for a Cutting and Creasing Operator in Crewe on behalf of our client, with an immediate start available. This is a technical die-cutting and print finishing role for someone who already knows the folding carton industry and is confident running sheet-fed cutting and creasing equipment.

The Role
As a Cutting and Creasing Operator, you'll set up and run cutting and creasing machinery to a consistently high standard. This is a technical position that calls for accuracy and a sharp eye for detail, not general machine minding. Run lengths vary widely, so you'll be comfortable with regular make-readies during a shift and with working closely alongside colleagues in other teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, run and adjust cutting and creasing machines to specification.
• Carry out multiple make-readies per shift, with run lengths from 2,500 to 100,000 sheets.
• Check work throughout each run to keep quality and accuracy high.
• Keep production moving efficiently while minimising waste.
• Work with other teams to keep jobs flowing smoothly through the site.
• Support colleagues with using the equipment whenever needed.

Skills and Experience
To be successful in this Cutting and Creasing Operator role, you'll ideally have:

• Proven, hands-on experience operating cutting and creasing equipment within the folding carton industry.
• Experience on Bobst, Brausse or Heidelberg machines.
• Strong technical ability and confidence carrying out make-readies.
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
• A positive, team-focused approach and good communication skills.
• The willingness to share your knowledge and support other operators.

Salary and Benefits

• Salary of up to £39,500 per annum (or up to £20.25 per hour), depending on experience.
• Permanent, full-time position.
• 26 days' holiday per year, plus statutory bank holidays.

Working Hours and Location

• Full-time, Monday to Friday, on alternating shifts: 6am to 1.30pm and 1.30pm to 9pm.
• Based on-site in Crewe.
