We are looking for a commercially minded and strategic Regional Account Manager to join a busy and ambitious sales team. This is a pivotal role for an experienced sales professional who enjoys managing key accounts, leading teams, and driving growth across multiple channels.
Deliver a share of Independent and Group sales targets while managing specified accounts in line with the annual business plan.
Spend time in trade, engaging with both the team and customers to drive development and growth.
Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing sales team, creating an ambitious and engaged workforce.
Build and implement account and sales plans that align with strategic priorities and maximise revenue, margin, and profit.
Identify new business opportunities across channels to support growth ambitions.
Work closely with other departments to ensure alignment, accurate forecasting, and operational excellence.
Act as an ambassador for the company, its brand, and product range.
Analyse performance, produce reporting for senior management, and recommend improvements to deliver commercial excellence.
Proven leadership experience in sales or marketing, ideally within Food & Drink or FMCG sectors.
Demonstrable experience in business development and account management.
Strong commercial and business acumen with the ability to develop long-term plans.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of motivating teams and building relationships with senior stakeholders.
Ability to work calmly under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet travel requirements.
Logical thinker with strong organisational skills and a proactive approach.
Experience at senior level managing regional or remote teams.
Knowledge of fine foods, artisan or premium food & drink sectors.
Experience across multiple trade channels such as export, foodservice, key account retail, or non-retail.
Understanding of broader business functions outside of sales.
Proximity to site is beneficial.
