GCS Venue Events Manager | Monday to Friday | 40 hours per week

Looking for an experience Venue Events Corporate Manager to join a fantastic company for a minimum of a year contract.
MUST have knowledge of Event planning, client management, functions equipment, organising and planning loads of events simultaneously. 

Set up tables, reconfiguration, liaising with the hospitality team for large scale functions, knowing how to utilise event space according to the type of client and booking and build up a good relationship  with contractors and suppliers.

This role will be face to face, the right candidate will need to have excellent communication skills and presentation to liaise with senior clients and international VIP 

Must be extremely Professional and really organised, highly motivated, technologically adept venue manager to provide operational support in a fast-paced, high-volume, corporate environment.

This position is responsible for delivering the operational aspects of internal meetings and conference spaces in London and across EMEA and managing special ad hoc projects as required.

• Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of related experience within venue management and events / meeting planning desired • Highest level of professional demeanor and personal integrity • Motivated, responsible self-starter who operates with a sense of urgency and is results-oriented; takes initiative, leadership qualities and able to work within a group or alone • Some flexibility with work hours may be required to meet customer needs • Pre-eminent client service skills and ability to anticipate service requests • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to connect easily with others and handle difficult interactions with discretion and diplomacy, across all levels of the organisation, and adapt style as the situation requires. • Strong organisational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize multiple meetings and deliverables and with a high level of attention to detail; high quality standards, solutions-seeking, creative problem-solver. • Some physical work required, i.e., moving/set up of furniture • Able to meet frequent and specific deadlines; consistent follow up to ensure tasks completed • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Collaborative, positive, team-oriented attitude. Strong work ethic, patience, calm and collected under pressure. • Demonstrates sound judgment in order to resolve problems and make decisions • Ability to be resourceful, flexible and proactive when issues arise and changes occur • Preferred experience with EMS room booking systems, SAP Concur Expense, Coupa and Envoy • MS Office Suite: specifically comfortable working with numbers, advanced Excel skills required. • European languages a plus.
