About the Opportunity
A growing and highly respected commercial General Contractor is seeking its first dedicated Project Scheduler to establish and lead scheduling efforts across the organization. This is a unique opportunity to build the scheduling function from the ground up and become a key member of the operations team.
Working directly with executive leadership, Project Managers, and Superintendents, you'll develop scheduling standards, improve project planning, and provide critical insight that drives successful project execution. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating structure, influencing operations, and making a lasting impact on a growing company.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain master project schedules from preconstruction through project closeout.
Establish scheduling standards, templates, and best practices across the organization.
Partner with Project Managers and Superintendents to create detailed CPM schedules and construction sequencing.
Monitor project progress and identify schedule risks, delays, and recovery strategies.
Lead schedule update meetings and communicate critical path impacts to project teams and leadership.
Develop baseline schedules, milestone schedules, look-ahead schedules, and recovery schedules.
Assist with project phasing, logistics planning, procurement timelines, and resource planning.
Support preconstruction by preparing conceptual schedules and schedule narratives.
Produce executive reporting and schedule analytics for leadership.
Continuously improve scheduling processes as the company continues to grow.
Qualifications
5+ years of scheduling experience with a Commercial General Contractor.
Strong knowledge of commercial construction means and methods.
Advanced experience with Primavera P6 is highly preferred.
Experience creating and managing CPM schedules for ground-up commercial projects.
Strong understanding of construction sequencing, procurement, and field operations.
Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence project teams.
Self-starter capable of building processes and working independently.
