Warehouse and Transport Manager

Uxbridge

Up to £45,000 + annual bonus

We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Warehouse and Transport Manager to join a longstanding distribution company based in the Uxbridge area. This is a hands-on leadership role, that will require taking on full responsibility for warehouse and logistics operations within the branch. Applicants must come from a similar working background and have great knowledge of the distribution sector.

Role responsibilities:

• Planning, picking, coordinating and monitoring material processing both inbound and outbound
• Motivating, organizing and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure the best productivity
• Keeping regular stock control checks up to date and ensuring inventory accuracy
• Efficient utilization of resources space and mechanical handling equipment
• Ensuring quality control at all times
• Maintaining good standards of health and safety, security and good housekeeping in the work environment
• Route planning of the fleet ensuring customer needs are met
• Key holder responsibilities – opening / closing the business
• Ensure compliance for fleet O License regulations

Candidate profile:

• People management skills, including the ability to lead, inspire, motivate others and delegate work
• Familiarity with both counterbalance and reach forklift truck (can provide refresher courses if necessary)
• Control of small fleet of multi drop lorries / drivers
• Good IT skills
• Understanding fleet route planning
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Clean full driving license
• Excellent attendance records and reliability
