Addiction Counsellor – Donegal

Location: Letterkenny, Co. Donegal
Salary: €47,793 – €53,997 DOE
Job Type: Full-Time | 35 Hours per Week
Hours: Monday–Friday

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Addiction Counsellor to join a Housing First team in Donegal.

The successful candidate will support individuals who have experienced long-term homelessness, providing addiction counselling and recovery-focused support in their homes and within the community.

Key Responsibilities

Provide addiction counselling and support to Housing First clients.

Build positive relationships and advocate on behalf of clients.

Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Deliver person-centred, recovery-focused and harm-reduction support.

Essential Requirements

Level 8 qualification in counselling, addiction counselling or psychotherapy, or an equivalent Level 7+ pathway recognised by IACP, ACI or ICP.

Accredited membership or eligibility for registration with IACP, ACI, ICP or PSI.

Full Irish driving licence and access to your own car.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
