Locum Medical Lab Aide – Temporary Full-Time

Pay: HSE Pay Scales

We are currently recruiting for a Locum Medical Lab Aide to join a healthcare laboratory team in Limerick on a temporary, full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out Medical Laboratory Aide duties within the laboratory.

• Receive, handle and process specimens in line with departmental procedures.

• Assist Medical Scientists and laboratory staff with day-to-day duties.

• Maintain clean, safe and organised laboratory areas.

• Follow infection control, health & safety and confidentiality procedures.

• Work on the main reception, welcoming and assisting patients and visitors.

• Answer telephone calls and deal with routine enquiries professionally.

• Assist with patient registration and general reception administration.

• Support the smooth day-to-day running of the laboratory and reception areas.

Requirements

• Recognised Medical Lab Aide qualification.
• Previous healthcare or laboratory experience is desirable.
• Must be resident in Ireland and hold one of the following:
• EU Passport
• Stamp 1G
• Stamp 2
• Stamp 4
• Stamp 4D
• Stamp 5
• Stamp 4 EUFam
• Willingness to undergo Garda Vetting.
• International Police Clearance required if you have lived outside Ireland for more than 6 months after the age of 16.
