Job Overview

TTM Healthcare Solutions is currently recruiting an Occupational Therapist to join the Primary Care service in West Galway City. The successful candidate will provide occupational therapy assessment and intervention to adults and older people living in the community, supporting individuals to maintain independence, safety and quality of life within their own homes and community settings.

Service: Primary Care, West Galway City
Contract: Temporary / Locum
Hours: 14 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for adults and older people in the community.
• Develop and implement individualised treatment and intervention plans.
• Support service users to maximise independence in daily living activities.
• Assess functional needs, including mobility, transfers and activities of daily living.
• Recommend appropriate equipment, adaptations and environmental modifications where required.
• Provide advice and education to service users, families and carers.
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and other community healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation in line with professional and service standards.
• Participate in care planning and contribute to positive outcomes for service users.

Requirements

• Relevant Qualification in Occupational Therapy.
• CORU mandatory.
• Previous experience working in primary care, community or older persons services is desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
