Locum Cardiac Physiologist – Maternity Leave Cover

Location: Drogheda, Co. Louth
Contract: Locum – Maternity Leave Cover
Hours: Monday to Friday

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Locum Cardiac Physiologist to join our team in Drogheda, Co. Louth, providing maternity leave cover.

The Role

The successful candidate will ideally be proficient in Echocardiography (Echo) and Pacemaker services. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality cardiac diagnostic and clinical services to patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and report on cardiac investigations in accordance with clinical standards.
• Carry out Echocardiography examinations to a high standard.
• Undertake Pacemaker checks and follow-up where appropriately qualified.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records.
• Work collaboratively with cardiologists, medical staff and the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Ensure all investigations are performed safely and in line with relevant professional and clinical guidelines.
• Maintain a high standard of patient care and communication.
• Participate in relevant quality assurance and clinical governance activities.

Essential Requirements

To be considered, applicants must have:

• A recognised qualification in Cardiac Physiology or an equivalent relevant qualification.
• Relevant professional experience as a Cardiac Physiologist.
• Demonstrable experience in Echocardiography and/or Pacemaker services.
• Appropriate professional registration/accreditation relevant to the role.
• The legal right to work in Ireland, with one of the following:
• EU Passport
• Valid GNIB/IRP permission with Stamp 1G, Stamp 2, Stamp 4, Stamp 4D, Stamp 5, or EUFam Stamp 4
• Willingness to undergo Garda Vetting.
• An International Police Clearance Certificate if you have lived outside Ireland for more than 6 months after the age of 16.
