Job Details
- Location: Wicklow
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am 5:00pm (35 hours per week)
- Contract: Initial 3-month contract
- Pay: 19.97 30.67 per hour (depending on relevant public sector experience)
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide administrative support within a busy public sector office, assisting with the efficient day-to-day running of administrative functions.
Duties will include:
- Providing comprehensive administrative support within a busy office environment.
- Preparing agendas and taking accurate minutes for team meetings and monthly meetings.
- Processing payments and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Managing confidential records and ensuring all documentation is processed accurately and securely.
- Preparing correspondence, reports, and other administrative documentation.
- Managing diaries, appointments, and general office administration.
- Maintaining accurate electronic and paper filing systems.
- Using the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook, to manage data and produce reports.
- Learning and using new systems as required.
- Assisting with the implementation and maintenance of administrative procedures.
- Supporting colleagues and providing administrative cover as required.
- Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with professionalism.
- Working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team while managing your own workload.
- Providing administrative support to teams across the Wicklow area as required.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in a busy administrative or clerical role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent IT skills with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Experience taking accurate meeting minutes.
- Experience processing payments or financial administration is desirable.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive information appropriately.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- A full driving licence and access to a car would be advantageous, as occasional travel within the Wicklow area may be required.
- A flexible and professional approach in a fast-paced environment.
