TTM Healthcare are delighted to partner with our client in the Public Sector to recruit a Grade IV Clerical Officer to join their team in Tralee, Co. Kerry.

Job Details

  • Location: Tralee, Co. Kerry
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
  • Contract: Month-to-month rolling contract
  • Pay: €19.97 – €30.67 per hour (depending on relevant public sector experience)

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the department and assist with the efficient day-to-day running of office functions.

Duties will include:

  • Providing comprehensive administrative support within a busy office environment.
  • Processing and maintaining applications and documentation relating to financial supports for families.
  • Managing confidential records and ensuring all documentation is processed accurately and securely.
  • Preparing correspondence, reports and other administrative documentation.
  • Providing front-of-house reception cover and operating a busy switchboard, responding to telephone and email enquiries professionally.
  • Managing diaries, appointments and general office administration.
  • Maintaining accurate electronic and paper filing systems.
  • Using the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook, to manage data and produce reports.
  • Assisting with the implementation and maintenance of administrative procedures.
  • Supporting colleagues and providing administrative cover as required.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with professionalism.
  • Working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team while managing your own workload.

Essential Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Excellent IT skills with experience using databases and administrative systems.
  • Experience providing reception and switchboard support.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive information appropriately.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • A flexible and professional approach in a fast-paced environment.
