National Role | Flexible Location | Permanent | 39 hours per week

Seeking an experienced Principal Speech & Language Therapist Manager to lead the development and growth of Speech & Language Therapy services nationally.

This is a strategic leadership role for an experienced SLT professional who is passionate about service development, clinical excellence, team leadership and improving outcomes for individuals with complex support needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a national Speech & Language Therapy strategy, supporting the growth and delivery of high-quality SLT services.
  • Provide clinical leadership, supervision and support to a growing team of Speech & Language Therapists.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, performance management and workforce planning for the SLT team.
  • Provide expert consultation on complex cases and support multidisciplinary teams.
  • Develop and deliver training programmes for staff and service teams.
  • Contribute to quality improvement, research, audit and strategic service development initiatives.
  • Manage clinical resources effectively to ensure high-quality and efficient service delivery.

Essential Requirements

  • Degree or Master’s qualification in Speech & Language Therapy recognised by CORU.
  • Current registration with the Speech & Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
  • Minimum 8 years post-qualification experience as a Speech & Language Therapist.
  • Strong clinical experience within areas such as Intellectual Disability, Autism, Mental Health, Acquired Brain Injury, Physical Disability or Sensory Disability.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a senior SLT role, including clinical supervision, line management and strategic service development.
