TTM Healthcare are proud to partner with our client in the Public Sector to recruit a Grade IV Clerical Officer to join their team in Cork.
Job Type: Full-Time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Pay Scale: €19.97 - €30.67 per hour, depending on previous relevant public sector experience.
Location: Cork
Contract: Month-to-month rolling contract (no end date)

Working Arrangement: Hybrid working option available – 1 day per week from home following successful completion of training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and process applications for third-party organisations, including charities and external stakeholders.
  • Assess applications with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to required criteria.
  • Review monthly grant payment submissions and ensure accuracy prior to processing.
  • Maintain and update records, databases, and spreadsheets relating to funding applications and payments.
  • Use advanced Microsoft Excel functions to analyse information, manage data, and prepare reports.
  • Prepare, format, proofread, and edit documents, letters, and emails to ensure accuracy and professionalism.
  • Take minutes of meetings involving multiple stakeholders and ensure accurate recording of discussions, decisions, and actions.
  • Schedule meetings, manage calendars, and issue meeting invitations for both online and in-person meetings.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate information and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Manage competing priorities while adhering to strict timelines and delivery requirements.
  • Provide general administrative support, including document preparation, correspondence, and record management.
  • Handle sensitive financial and organisational information with discretion and confidentiality.

Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience in a Grade IV Clerical Officer, administrative, financial, accounts, or office support role.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to manage and analyse data effectively.
  • Excellent Microsoft Outlook skills, including calendar management and meeting scheduling.
  • Strong written English skills with experience preparing and proofreading professional correspondence.
  • Demonstrated experience taking accurate meeting minutes involving multiple attendees and stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing applications, documents, and financial information.
  • Comfortable working with numbers and performing basic mathematical checks.
  • Ability to prioritise workload, manage deadlines, and work effectively in a busy environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • High level of discretion when handling confidential information.
