Requirements

• Must be CORU registered as a Social Care Worker
• Minimum Level 7 or 8 qualification in Social Care (or equivalent)
• Verification of Qualifications (VOQ) directly with the university
• Garda Vetting – Required
• Driver’s Licence – Required
• Certificate in Children First (TUSLA)
• TCI Training (Therapeutic Crisis Intervention)
• Right to work in Ireland (EU passport or Stamp 1G, 2, 4, 4D, 5, 4 EUFam)
• International Police Clearance (if applicable)

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day care, safety, and support for children in a residential setting
• Work in line with care plans to promote emotional, educational, and social development
• Implement safeguarding practices and therapeutic interventions (TCI)
• Support children in achieving their goals using person-centered approaches
• Maintain accurate reporting and compliance with HIQA and Tusla standards
