Job Description

Staff Grade Dietitian – North Mayo

Location: North Mayo (between Swinford and Ballina)
Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract: Initial 3-month contract

TTM Healthcare Solutions is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Staff Grade Dietitian to join a multidisciplinary healthcare team in North Mayo. This is an excellent opportunity for a dietitian looking to gain valuable experience within community-based services while making a meaningful impact on patient care and health outcomes.

The successful candidate will work across services in the North Mayo region, supporting individuals with a range of nutritional needs and contributing to the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based dietetic care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nutritional care for patients referred to the dietetic service.
  • Provide individualised dietary advice and interventions based on clinical assessment and evidence-based practice.
  • Manage a varied caseload, prioritising referrals according to clinical need.
  • Deliver nutritional education and health promotion initiatives to individuals, families, carers, and community groups.
  • Work collaboratively with members of the multidisciplinary team (MDT), including medical, nursing, allied health, and primary care professionals.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation in line with professional and organisational standards.
  • Monitor patient progress and adapt care plans as required to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Contribute to quality improvement projects, audits, and service evaluation activities.
  • Adhere to all professional, ethical, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • A recognised qualification in Dietetics.
  • CORU mandatory
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Full driver's licence and access to own transport, as travel across the service area may be required.
  • Previous experience working within community, primary care, or acute healthcare settings.
  • Experience managing a broad range of clinical nutrition presentations.
  • Knowledge of Irish healthcare services and pathways.
