TTM Healthcare are proud to partner with our client in the public sector to recruit for a temporary Grade III Clerical Officer in Monaghan.
Location: Monaghan
Position: Grade III Clerical Officer
Hours: Full time, Mon–Fri, 9–5 (35 hours a week)
Pay: €17.49 - €27.06 per hour depending on previous relevant public sector experience
Contract: 6 months
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the Finance Team.
- Process invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests in line with financial procedures and deadlines.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all supporting documentation is appropriately filed and retained.
- Assist with data entry and updating of financial information on internal finance systems and databases.
- Support the preparation and processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Reconcile financial records, statements, and reports as directed by senior finance staff.
- Prepare, format, and maintain spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel to support financial reporting and analysis.
- Monitor shared finance mailboxes, responding to or forwarding queries as appropriate.
- Assist with budget monitoring and financial reporting activities as required.
- Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers regarding invoice queries and payment information.
- Ensure compliance with organisational financial policies, procedures, and audit requirements.
- Handle confidential financial information with the highest level of discretion and professionalism.
- Provide general administrative support to the wider department to ensure efficient service delivery.
Essential Criteria
- Previous experience in a finance administration, accounts, clerical, or office support role.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience working with financial systems, accounting software, or databases is desirable.
- Excellent data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience within a public sector finance environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
This role will be supported by experienced finance and administrative staff within the department and requires an individual who is available to commence as soon as possible.
