Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will work with providing assessment, diagnosis, and intervention services to support their communication and swallowing needs.
The SLT will ideally have Dysphagia Competencies and experience

• Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of adults presenting with speech, language, communication, voice, and swallowing disorders within an acute hospital setting.
• Manage a varied caseload of patients with neurological, medical, surgical, respiratory, and age-related conditions, including stroke, acquired brain injury, progressive neurological disorders, and complex dysphagia presentations.
• Conduct clinical swallowing assessments and develop evidence-based dysphagia management plans to ensure safe and effective nutrition, hydration, and medication intake.
• Demonstrated competency in the assessment and management of adult dysphagia across acute medical, surgical, and neurological populations.
• Experience managing patients with stroke-related dysphagia, progressive neurological conditions, respiratory compromise, and complex feeding and swallowing difficulties.

• Degree in Speech and Language Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Registration with CORU
• Experience working with Dysphagia Competencies.
• Must be a resident in Ireland and hold one of the following: EU passport or GNIB card with Stamp 1G, Stamp 2, Stamp 4, Stamp 4D, Stamp 5, or 4 EUFam.
• Willing to undergo Garda Vetting. 
• International Police Clearance required (if lived outside of Ireland for more than 6 months after the age of 16).
