Social Care Practitioner – Letterkenny, Co. Donegal

TTM Healthcare Solutions are working in partnership with a respected care provider to recruit a Social Care Practitioner for a mainstream residential service based in Letterkenny.

Location: Letterkenny, Co. Donegal

Service Overview:

• Mainstream residential service currently supporting one young person
• Focused, individualised care approach in a stable and structured environment
• Service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year

Shift Pattern:

• 12-hour shifts across days and evenings
• Rotational roster including weekends and public holidays
• Waking night cover required
  • 2 staff on duty during night shifts

Role Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support within a residential care setting
• Promote emotional wellbeing, stability, and positive development
• Build strong, professional relationships with the young person
• Support daily routines, education, and life skills development
• Maintain a safe and structured living environment
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies
• Implement and review individualised care plans
• Accurately complete reports, records, and documentation

Candidate Requirements

• Level 7 or Level 8 qualification in Social Care or a related discipline
• CORU registration (or eligibility to register)
• Experience working with young people is beneficial
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work within a 24/7 rota, including waking nights

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must:

• Have the right to work in Ireland (EU passport or valid GNIB/IRP stamp)
• Be willing to undergo Garda Vetting
• Provide International Police Clearance if required
