Social Care Worker – Bunratty, Co. Clare
TTM Healthcare Solutions are currently seeking motivated and compassionate individuals to join a respite care service in Bunratty, supporting young people in need of short-term residential care.
Location: Bunratty, Co. Clare
Service Description:
- Respite service supporting young people aged 10–17
- Designed for those living at home or in foster care, requiring additional support
- Focused on early intervention to reduce the risk of full-time residential placement
- Accommodates up to 4 young people per night in a structured, supportive setting
Work Schedule:
- 12-hour shifts (day and/or night depending on rota)
- Rotational pattern including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
Role Overview
As part of the team, you will:
- Provide a safe, welcoming environment for young people during respite stays
- Support emotional wellbeing and help manage challenging behaviours positively
- Encourage confidence, independence, and social development
- Assist with daily routines, including meals, activities, and bedtime preparation
- Work alongside families and professionals to ensure consistent support
- Contribute to care planning and review processes
- Maintain clear, accurate records of each young person’s stay
Candidate Requirements
- Level 7 or Level 8 qualification in Social Care or related discipline
- CORU registration (or in the process of registering)
- Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable groups is preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work shifts across a 24/7 rota
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Have legal permission to work in Ireland (EU passport or valid GNIB stamp)
- Be willing to complete Garda Vetting
- Provide International Police Clearance where required
