Social Care Worker – Tuam (Co. Galway)
TTM Healthcare Solutions (TTM) have partnered with a leading organisation to recruit a Social Care Worker for a mainstream residential service in Tuam.
Location: Tuam, Co. Galway
Service Details:
- 4-bed mainstream residential service
- Supporting young people aged 13–17 years
Hours:
- 12-hour day shifts
- Rotational rota (including weekends and public holidays)
Key Responsibilities
- Support young people in a residential setting, promoting safety, wellbeing, and development
- Build positive, trusting relationships with service users
- Provide emotional support during periods of distress or transition
- Assist with daily routines and life skills development
- Promote independence while ensuring a structured, nurturing environment
- Work collaboratively with families, multidisciplinary teams, and external professionals
- Contribute to individual care plans and behavioural support strategies
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation
Requirements
- Minimum Level 7 or Level 8 degree in Social Care (or equivalent)
- CORU registration (or eligibility to register)
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work a 24/7 rota
