Senior Occupational Therapist

Permanent | 37 Hours per Week

We are currently seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to join a busy acute hospital setting and deliver a high-quality inpatient Occupational Therapy service as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment for inpatients.
  • Support safe and effective discharge planning.
  • Complete cognitive, functional, home, and falls risk assessments.
  • Prescribe and assess ADL equipment, seating, wheelchairs, and pressure care needs.
  • Liaise with community services to support discharge home.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service development.
  • Participate in audit, quality improvement, and staff education initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with medical, nursing, and allied health teams.

Requirements

  • Qualification recognised by CORU with current registration.
  • Minimum 3 years’ clinical experience with adults in an acute hospital setting.
  • Strong experience in discharge planning and rehabilitation.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • Postgraduate training relevant to specialty desirable.
